The Catamaran Resort offers acres of exotic
trees and plants bordered by a white sand beach at the edge of Mission
Bay. The sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean are just a short
block away. The Catamaran's 312 spacious rooms and suites are decorated
in a tropical decor. All rooms and suites have a patio or balcony.
Room amenities include everything you would expect at a world-class
resort including refrigerators, hair dryers, coffee makers, irons
and ironing boards, in room movies and video games, and high-speed
internet access. The Catamaran Tower commands a view of the coastline
from La Jolla to Baja and over Mission Bay to the spectacular San
Diego Skyline. Resort amenities include the award-winning Atoll
restaurant, Moray's cocktail lounge, a large heated pool and jacuzzi,
a full-service water sports rental department, and bicycle rentals.
The Catamaran Resort Spa is a world-class
health & wellness facility featuring private treatment rooms,
a ritual room, steam and dry saunas, an outdoor whirlpool, a Vichy
shower, a full-service salon, and a fitness facility.

Nearby Mission Bay and Mission Beach attractions
The local Mission Bay and Mission Beach area
have an excellent bike path that borders the bay and ocean and is
excellent for bicycling, rollerblading, walking or jogging. There
are numerous restaurants and a Ralph's 24 hour grocery store within
walking distance. The San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and San Diego International
Airport are just minutes away.

Take a relaxing stroll around the resort
grounds to serve the exotic plants and flowers that were collected
from around the world. Don’t miss our Macaw parrots, Australian
black swans, and other exotic wild life located around the resort.
The ponds are home to frogs, crayfish, catfish, minnows, and koi
fish. The hotel has approximately 100 different varieties of palm
trees and 1000 different varieties of plants from all over the world.
The tippuana tippu is the true rosewood from
Brazil. The Christ palm is found in Argentina or Bolivia. The alobanti
trees came from the Libidinal coast of Africa. The blood cactus
is native to the Canary Islands. The cycads are a South Pacific
variety, and are the oldest plants in the world. There are at least
fourteen varieties of coral trees ranging from colors of brilliant
red to pink. The Chinese windmill palms are found in the Tibetan
highlands of China. Among our palms are trees are jelly palms, blue
brachi armanda palms, triangle palms, Puerto Rico hat palms, and
alobanzi palms the only palms native to Hawaii. Our bamboo collection
includes breen stripe, heavenly bamboo, Buddhas agave, and running
bamboo. Some of our other rare plants include a tapioca tree bromeliads
a eucalyptus deglupto which is the only eucalyptus not native to
Australia. We have sagua large rubber tree called a ficus macrocarpa
as well as thirty different flowering types of hibiscus. Our grounds
are meticulously kept and every corner brings a new and fascinating
delight.
